August 31, 2025: Humility… Not What You’re Thinking of Though

Humility has recently been portrayed as something of a low self-esteem, or maybe thinking you’re not worth anything at all. If Jesus tells us anything in the Gospel this weekend, maybe we don’t understand it quite right, though.

Fr. Daniel Belken is a priest of the Diocese of Springfield-Cape Girardeau of the Roman Catholic Church. He was ordained to the Priesthood on June 12, 2020, and currently serves as the Parochial Administrator at St. Denis Parish in Benton, Missouri, and St. Lawrence Parish in New Hamburg, Missouri, as well as being the Director of Worship and Liturgy for the Diocese.
